PPA Future of Digital Experience Lab

The principles of media platform design haven’t meaningfully evolved in fifteen years – but that era is ending. The next era of media products will be built, and the publishers who shape what comes next will be the ones who lean into experimentation.

Join us and Amazon Web Services on Monday 15 June (13.30-17.30 + networking drinks til 19.00) for an immersive workshop, designed for media leaders who are ready to lean into AI native product development.

Free to attend for PPA members, but places are strictly limited.

What happens on the day

Working in small cross-disciplinary teams, you’ll use lo-code, no-code, and agentic AI tools to prototype the publisher products and experiences that don’t exist yet. The infrastructure is AWS, but the creative and commercial judgment is yours.

The provocation

The homepage is no longer the front door. Agentic AI is already forming preferences, filtering choices, and completing transactions before a human has consciously decided what they want. Publishers aren’t exempt.

If preference formation moves upstream into AI systems, you don’t just lose traffic. You lose the moment of connection that makes audience relationships and the revenue that follows possible.

Before the day

Registered participants will be invited to a two-hour remote briefing ahead of the Lab, including receiving the PPA x Enders report Humans & Machines: The Everywhere Equation, as a pre-read. Come with a problem worth solving. Leave with a prototype and a path to making it real.

Who this is for

You don’t need to know how to code – but you do need creative and commercial authority and a real problem to bring to the room. Places are limited to maximum three per publisher: one each from creative, commercial and technical. That mix is intentional.

The Lab explores AI as a collaborator. Where does human instinct matter most, and where can machines enhance speed, scale, and creativity? This is a practical, hands-on exploration of how better work emerges from that partnership.

Join the Lab and build what’s next.

Free to attend for PPA members, but places are strictly limited.

Amazon Web Services will be hosting their ‘Publishing Forum’ on the morning of 15 June. This is a separate event from the PPA Future Experience Lab, but if you’d like to find out more or register for the AWS Publishing Forum, please click here.
